Kuala Lumpur, 17 November 2011 - The Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) is organising its 9th Summit on 16 – 17 May 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) is kindly hosting this landmark IFSB annual event. (source)
The Memorandum of Understanding between CBRT and the IFSB was signed by H.E. Dr. Erdem Başçı, Governor of CBRT and Mr. Jaseem Ahmed, IFSB Secretary-General yesterday, on the sidelines of the 19th Meeting of the Council of the IFSB. The Council Meeting is hosted by Bank Negara Malaysia in Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur.
The Annual IFSB Summits aim to bring together an experienced international group of chairpersons and speakers, attracting participants from all sectors of the financial services industry across the globe. Participants of the previous Summits have included key players of the Islamic financial services industry, especially members of the IFSB from among regulatory and supervisory authorities, international inter-governmental organisations and market players.
