“We want to expand our operations in Africa. Our joint ventures in the region reached nearly 250 million euros by the end of 2011,” said Bank Asya Assistant General Manager Ahmet Beyaz.
Beyaz said they were going to open a Bank Asya branch in Arbil Northern Iraq in two months and were already exploring options in the Balkans especially in Kosovo, Bosnia, Albania, and Macedonia. Çelik said Bank Asya had also received authorization to open a representative office in India.
