FINANCE - Qatari group to invest at least $500 mln in Turkish tourism industry

A semi-governmental Qatari group is going to build multiple hotels to attract conservative Muslim vacationers in Turkey with a total investment of at least $500 million, the Anatolia news agency reported on Thursday. (source)

FINANCE - Qatari firm to invest in Islamic hotels

Qatari group Retaj is planning an investment of $500 million in Turkey in a bid to develop hotels and residences run along an Islamic model in two big cities.
“Turkey has become the 16th largest economy in the world and sixth largest economy in Europe, and this made us want to invest in Turkey,” Retaj Board of Directors member Bin Johar al-Mohammed told Anatolia news agency in a recent interview.  (source)

MALAYSIA - FINANCE - Malaysian Khazanah fund company, Integrated Healthcare, doing interviews for investment in Turkey in the field of health.

 KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian state fund Khazanah Nasional'in, Acıbadem, reportedly conducted talks to buy shares.

According to news sources and based on one of Reuters'un, Khazanah'ın health units, 70 percent owned by Deutsche Bank is the Integrated Healthcare, consultant talks.

Integrated Healthcare is the recipient of multiple sales of items in stock and is one of the groups interested in the news, said the process can be completed in December. (source)

FINANCE - Unicorn announces successful exit from investment in US electronics manufacturing (focus on GCC, MENA and Turkey)


Manama, 24 August 2011> -Unicorn Investment Bank (Unicorn) announces the successful sale of its investment in Victron, Inc. (Victron), a specialty provider of high-mix, complex electronics manufacturing services (EMS) based in Fremont, California.
Unicorn acquired an 80% equity stake in Victron in December 2007. The Bank has sold its stake to OnCore, a prominent US-based EMS company. (source)

INVESTMENT - NCB: the public and private sectors' projects in the Kingdom provide opportunities for both national and foreign companies (NCB - Turkiye Finans)

It was recently mentioned in the news and attributed to the National Commercial Bank that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plans to invest 600 billion dollars in Turkey over the next twenty years. 

To rectify this, the figure cited represents the total size of projects to be implemented in the Kingdom in the coming years by both the public and private sectors. (full story)
