FINANCE - BIBD provides Murabaha financing to Turkish firm

bt.com.bn - BANK Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) will be providing financing of US$75,000,000 ($97,500,000) to Turkiye Finans Katilim Bankasi (TKFB) AS under the bank's Murabaha Financing Facility.

BIBD, one of Brunei's largest financial institutions, said the financing facility will be for five years and will provide funding for small and medium enterprises (SME) in Turkey. (source)

BANKING - Ali Ulker announces to sell for TL 3.6 million shares in Albaraka Turk

Ülker Group, Biscuit, Chocolate, Confectionery President Ali Ulker, Albaraka Turk Participation Bank will sell shares. Nominal value of £ 1 million 628 thousand 598 shares of Albaraka Turkish stock market for the sale of the Central Registry organization (MMKK) that reference Ali Ülker, that will sell the shares, the capital of the bank's 0.3 percent of falls.

BANKING - Ulker Family leaves the finance sector (Turkiye Finans, BMD, Albaraka Turk)


On Sept 30, 2010 the Ulker Family sold its' stakes in Albaraka Turk and Turkiye Finans.
   
The Turkiye Finans shares were sold by Murat Ülker, Ali Ülker (Özokur),  Ahsen Özokur, Orhan Özokur to Gozde Finansal Hizmetlere (Gozde Financial Services) and therefor stay in the Yildiz Group.
 
The shareholdings in Albaraka Turk (1.290.000 shares) that were sold to Gozde Factoring (also part of the Yildiz Group).
 
Also on Sept 30, 2010 they sold their stake in Bizim Menkul BMD to the Istikbal Group (part of Boydak Group).  
 
The Ulker Family apparently have no more direct stake in the Turkish finance sector.

BANKING - Turkey's Gozde says buys 10.26 pct of Turkiye Finans


(Reuters) - Turkey's Gozde Financial Services (GOZFN.IS) bought 10.26 percent of Turkiye Finans, which is active in Turkey's growing Islamic banking sector for 216 million lira ($148.45 million), Gozde said on Thursday.


Gozde, which already had a stake in Turkiye Finans, raised its stake to 13.69 percent.
